New routes - LHR to Las Palmas & LGW to Larnaca

May 2013

We're introducing 2 new routes from London Heathrow to Las Palmas, commencing from 26 October and London Gatwick to Larnaca commencing from 30 June. Both routes are now available for sale.

The direct weekly Saturday service to Las Palmas will operate on Saturdays from LHR Terminal 5 and will provide a new Winter sun destination in the Canary Islands.

 The new service to Larnaca will operate at a frequency of 3 per week using an A319 aircraft and is in addition to the existing daily flight from Heathrow.

New Refunds Request webform

April 2013


We have introduced a new process for the Refund Requests that you submit to us. Up until now, you needed to fax details over to us. With immediate effect, you can now submit a webform from batraveltrade.com.

You'll need to complete a form for each booking reference with a maximum of 9 passengers. On submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation email with the details you provided and this will also go to our Refunds team to action.

If you need to supply supporting evidence for the Refund Request, please send this by fax with the PNR, ticket number and lead passenger name marked clearly to 0207 660 0484.

Just a reminder, you should process refunds yourself in your GDS, You should only submit refunds to us if:

  • tickets are more than 1 year old
  • e-tickets have been closed off on the system (eg passenger checked in but did not travel)
  • there are GDS problems which prevent e-ticket refunds (after contacting your GDS)
  • there is incorrect sales reporting (eg you reported the ticket as void but it was charged on the BSP report)
  • other airline tickets reported erroneously by BSP as BA Sales
  • there are booking/system errors linked to e-tickets(eg where e-ticket bookings cannot be retrieved at check-in)
  • the passenger has been downgraded

Refunds will be credited to the original form of payment and please allow up to 6 weeks for us to process your request.

New route - LCY to Granada

March 2013


We will begin flying from London City to Granada (GRX) from 25 July 2013. This will be an all year round service with a 5x weekly operation until 31 August when Thursday flights will cease and we'll reduce to a 4x weekly.

Granada Airport has a single terminal facility providing a gateway into the popular region of Andalusia.

Hand Baggage Only fares for LGW - extended

March 2013


We are extending our new Hand Baggage Only fares across the whole of our London Gatwick shorthaul network.

We introduced the new type of fare at London Gatwick for a selection of routes on 19 February. We have now opened the remaining LGW routes for travel from 2 April 2013.

Fares can be booked using an account code of HBO00 and you can view booking details and GDS entries in the attached pdf.

A380 open for sale

March 2013

We're extremely excited that our A380 aircraft that are due to be delivered in July 2013 and tickets are now open for sale. The aircraft will have 4 cabins and can accommodate up to 469 passengers.

We are now selling London Heathrow to Los Angeles for travel from 15 October and London Heathrow to Hong Kong for travel from 15 November.

LBA summer schedule & move to Terminal 5

February 2013


From 1 April, 2013, we are moving to our new summer schedule for Leeds Bradford with a flight move to London Heathrow Terminal 5 too. This will mean 20 flights a week between Yorkshire and London.

This will improve transfers for customers, particularly on LHR routes including Hong Kong, New York, Johannesburg, Singapore and Sydney.
